After a few years of emphasizing the industrial side of their business, Kase Horticulture has begun efforts to focus more on horticulture. As a manufacturer of different types of machinery, Kase provides custom-tailored solutions for the greenhouse, nursery and landscaping industries when it comes to bulk material handling.“We started as a mainly horticultural company in 1982, and now we're trying to boost the horticulture side of our business again,” said Kase's Ryan Sanchez. Kase offers flat fillers, soil conveyors, filling machines and almost anything that can mix and move soil media. Sanchez states that, “Kase prides themselves on their unmatched durability and strength, high quality design and fabrication, ability to deliver exactly what the customer wants, and top notch customer service.”

Sanchez explains about the equipment (left to right) "Back left: 3561 Gobbler Large B ale Processor, Frond Left: Surge Feeder Mounted on the long 4300 Series soil conveyor. Nest to the Surge Feeder is a Perlite Hopper/conveyor for additives. Next the Fertilizer Feeder for adding non liquid type fertilizers. On the end of the Soil conveyor is the Mix fluffer for fluffing any additives into the mixture. On the ground to the right is the back of our Super B Flat Filler 4 yard Hopper. All of these machines run off of sensors that correspond to tell the Gobbler at the front to feed soil and stop feeding".
“We can do any kind of custom system depending on what the customer is looking for,” said Sanchez. “While our competitors focus on automation and larger clients, we specialize in servicing smaller operations with custom, quality systems.” He noted that many people he's spoken to comment on the sturdiness and longevity of their equipment, especially when it comes to their most popular machine, the Gobbler.
“The Gobbler is a large bale processor, and it's a good one for us to promote because it makes work easier and everyone who's got one has been very pleased with it,” said Sanchez. “In fact, some people who have similar machines that aren't ours tell us that our machine seems more heavy duty; it's almost an unstoppable machine, and it's like the rest of our equipment, which has been known to still run after 20 or 30 years.” He also went on to say that, “in most cases the customers that have switched form a competitors equipment to Kase equipment have said that they would not go back and would stick with Kase”.

"The Gobbler: 7Ft Wide x 13 ft 8in long x 8 ft 8in tall. For busting up 135 cu. ft. compressed bales of peat"
Though most of Kase's business is focused on the southeastern portion of the United States, Sanchez noted that they've sold machines all over the U.S. as well as to growers in India and Hawaii, so they're able to ship anywhere in the world. He added that the customization they can offer makes them a good choice for any grower who needs something to move soil.
“Our machines are used for all types of pots or plants,” said Sanchez. “Just about anything you want to put soil media into, we can cover it.”
