Attendees express satisfaction with event

Guatemala: 3,713 visitors at this year's Agritrade

Agexport have released statistics relating to their recently held Agritrade event. The event, the 16th edition, was held in Antigua, Guatemala on 14th and 15th March this year.

A total of 3,713 visitors attended the event, coming from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Argentina, Peru, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, France and the US.

People from all levels attended the event, including many with senior management positions within their organizations.

Of the products on display at the event 46% were vegetable and 29% fruit related products.

Much of what was on display was exportable and, as the illustration below shows, is available from a cross section of Latin American countries.

As well as exportable products there was also many looking to import agricultural products, particularly fruit and vegetables.

Import countries, notably, included the US and a number of European nations, as well as Latin American countries.

As well as enabling the showcasing of products, 13 conferences on specific fields of interest were held and were attended by a total of 676 delegates.

Attendee satisfaction was gauged after the event, with the majority of delegates recording "Excellent" and "Very Good" verdicts. With around $40 million US worth of business being done at the event, this is perhaps not surprising!
