Theo Brand, owner of Brand nursery from Etten-Leur, is an experienced Troika grower, having been involved with the cucumber for 5 years. Theo: "In the Autumn, Troika always yields a nice, heavy fruit. Our average was around 418 grams per cucumber. I am very pleased with production as a whole.”
Theo has much appreciation for the Troika: “The cucumbers are pretty long, slightly longer than standard varieties but not too long. Troika is doing well in the market. This is also because of the beautiful shape and colour." Another reason for Theo to prefer the Troika is its vigour in Autumn. "Even with decreasing light the crop is doing great. It doesn’t even require much intervention on our part.”
