Paskal, Pelemix and Korolev Agro to hold seminar for Russian growers

Israeli greenhouse suppliers Paskal and Pelemix will hold a seminar this summer to bring together growers who have been using or are interested in their products. The seminar will be held in conjunction with their Russian distributor Karolev Agro. During the seminar, the organizers will provide a small group of growers the chance to share knowledge about the benefits and challenges of using the latest supplies for high-tech greenhouses growing. They also will focus on the advantages of using coco peat substrates.

“We want to bring the growers to our site and let them see our high-tech production facilities,” said Polina Stein from Paskal. “It will also give everyone a chance to meet, to talk to each other and learn from one another. We will also visit local greenhouses that successfully use Paskal supplies. This will help the participants to understand and learn how our products contribute to improve quality of cultivations, save on work, cost and time, and increase crop yield.”

“We'll have several lectures by agronomists, some of them with over 30 years of experience,” said Stein. “We can't take them to visit all of the growers in Russia, so having all of this knowledge in one place will be good for the growers.” Among others topics, the lectures from experienced Pelemix's agronomists will cover: irrigation management, coir usage in horticulture, the principles of daily plot management and coir plot trouble shooting. They will also help provide growers with information on using coco peat in Russian climate.

Stein said that part of the reason they're organizing the event is because coco peat has increased in popularity in Russia during the last few years. While it was uncommon for anyone to use the substrate in the past, Stein said that coco peat now rivals other growing substrates. Stein believes the opportunity to network and share information will be very beneficial for growers.

The seminar will take place in Israel the first week of June.
