Spain: Almeria campaign will end with lower prices than expected

In recent weeks, tomato prices in Spain dropped sharply. The vine tomato is sold for 65-50 eurocents, the "longevity tomato" stalls between sixty and eighty cents and the price of the pear tomato fell from seventy cents to 55 cents per kilo.

The Italian green pepper dropped from 1.15 euros to 95 cents per kilo. The green Lamuyo hovers around 1.70 euros and the red variant fluctuates between 1.40 euros and 1.10 euros per kilo. The average Californian yellow pepper is sold for 63 cents less, the red Californian paprika is sold for a price between 1.50 and 1.20 cents per kilo and the Californian green peppers for an average price of 1.40 euros. At this time, 90% of the total supply is sold. The price of the cucumber and all its varieties continues to decline due to the seasonal arrival of the European market for these products.

The long cucumber has an average price decrease of 15%, the French cucumber varies between 25 and 18 cents and short dark variant between 40 and 25 cents per kilo.
