Italy: ULMA Agrícola builds 1.3 hectares in Apulia
The installation has several different areas in function of the task that are going to be carried out there. The first area, where the rooting is done has been realized by M8 building type. For the storage and potting area M12.8 structure, because this disposition allows having more space between the foot and top of the plant. The G9 structure was chosen for the space dedicated to the growth of the plants, formed by 7,000sqm, due to the kindness of its gothic design prepared to obtain a higher internal volume, maximizing the internal usable space, improving the use of solar radiation and drainage of the condensation from the guttering.
All these modules have been equipped with zenithal ventilation, double inflatable chamber in the ceiling, thermal screen and guillotine type ventilation at the perimeter. Lastly, the warehouse with a 12,8 two ridge roof for preparing orders, shipping and offices covered with sandwich type panels and with guillotine type ventilation with polycarbonate cellular at the upper part of the sides to favors circulation of the internal air. Some photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof of the warehouse to obtain energy that will be used for self-sufficiency and the rest will be sold to the grid.
