Netherlands: Looije Agro Technics builds 6 hectare for Van Gennip Nursery

In the past few months, the Dutch horticultural area Vlasakkers in Someren was the stage of a remarkable piece of planning and execution. In just four months, a new 6-hectare strawberry farm was built from scratch. We’re talking about the newest office of Van Gennip Bros. BV. For the fourth time Van Gennip asked Looije Agro Technics to carry out construction management.

"On December 18, we received the call,” says Jan Jansen of Looije. “Van Gennep wanted to start propagation by mid-April. So there was no time to lose!”

Looking back, all participants agree that the operation went smooth as a baby’s bum. Along with Theo van Gennip and Hans Coremans of Looije, who coordinated construction, everything within their limits was done to make the project happen.

“Of course,” says Van Gennip, “all exporting firms did their part and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them.”
