US: Hillsboro Greenhouse Management Class readies for Spring

Spring is here, and it is time to spruce up homes and gardens with locally grown plants from the Hillsboro FFA Greenhouse. The Hillsboro High School Greenhouse Management Class has been planting seeds and transplanting vegetables and flowers since the beginning of the year.

The class is in charge of watering and maintaining the plants, as well as sales and service. Greenhouse hours are from 8 am to 4 pm, and students will also take orders. The FFA offers flats and cell packs of flowers and vegetables, planters, and hanging baskets all planted by the students in the Greenhouse Management Class.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, so be sure to stop by and check out the FFA plant sale. The Hillsboro FFA Greenhouse Management Class is shown getting ready for the spring flower and vegetable sale.
