The Group has been cultivating baby-leaf products for over 120 years, and has recently modernised with the introduction of new production lines, buildings, land and the latest tunnels and agricultural equipment.
Such investment was made in order to reach perfection and to achieve the latest technology levels.
"Wee have substituted the structures and plastic coverings of 12 hectares of greenhouses. The new tunnels are bigger (about 9 metres) and taller, in order to enable better ventilation. They are stronger and sturdier. These greenhouses enable big agricultural machines to pass through without damaging the products."
"In order to meet the needs of our clients, we have also rented two new plots. One is for open field cultivation of spinach and salad, whereas the other has a net to protect the crop from bad weather."
Taurus currently holds the Rago mark and this year it has completed the installation of solar panels, which have been designed to cover almost entirely the energy needs of the company so it is now self-sufficient, thereby avoiding waste and excessive consumption.
