Netherlands: Phalaenopsis grower Eric Moor wins entrepreneurship award

Eric Moor of Sion won the Dutch horticulture entrepeneurship award (Tuinbouwondernemersprijs) for horticultural entrepreneurship on 9 January 2013. Dutch State Secretary Sharon Dijksma presented the prize. Eric Moor received the prize during a conference at the Keukenhof. The Dutch horticulture entrepeneurship award is a prestigious award within horticulture. The jury praised Eric Moor for his innovative entrepreneurship. His company, Sion, grows Phalaenopsis in a sustainable manner. Eric Moor uses an innovative marketing strategy, in which he attaches importance to the collective collaboration between growers.
