Belarus to increase fertiliser production

Last week this statement was made by the country's Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich. According to the Belarusian official, who visited the construction site of a new plant of JSC "Belaruskali" (Belarus potassium) in Soligorsk, currently supplying fertilizer to India and China is no longer benefiting Belarusian exporters.

In the coming year "Bularuskali" will continue to focus on increasing its production. After the launch of the Soligorsk plant in April, the company plans to start construction of three new facilities already in early summer. The new plants will start producing potash fertilizers around the beginning of 2014. As a result, the Belarusian production of combined fertilizers could reach about 1 million tons a year.
