Dehumidification units transform any operation into a semi-closed system
Closed and more recently, semi-closed greenhouse growing are much discussed new ways of cultivating as efficient as possible. While, depending on the location and application the system has a lot of major advantages over traditional greenhouse growing in terms of energy saving and crop enhancement, the high investment is sometimes still prevents growers from making the switch.
New dehumidification solutions such as the DryGair units, enable growers to integrate semi-closed growing practices into their existing operations.
The solution was invented by Dr. Arbel from the Israeli Agricultural Research Organization. He published an article on the ways to control the standard greenhouses day and night climate throughout the 4 seasons. His study revealed the most optimal cost-efficient method to control temperature and humidity. He developed the DryGair solution to answer the growing and growers requirements. The DryGair concept allows the grower to insulate the greenhouse and take better control of humidity and energy loss. When DryGair is added into any type of greenhouse, it turns it into a semi closed greenhouse during the night or on cloudy days: Windows can kept close, energy stays inside, while humidity is no longer a limiting factor.
"DryGair is an innovative dehumidifier that can also be used for heating and cooling. It offers a special air distribution concept which is simple to integrate into all types of greenhouses", said Hadar Fuchs of Drgair. "We recommend our solution as a real affordable and efficient solution to humidity problems inside existent and new greenhouses. It helps growers to create the optimal climate conditions, in both traditional, closed and semi-closed greenhouses. "
