"Soft fruit growers prefer cocopeat that is low in EC, silicon, boron"

Dutch Plantin has production locations in Helmond and Boekel in The Netherlands. From these locations many European softfruit growers get this Dutch manufactured loose cocopeat. According to Wim Roosen, many soft fruit growers rely on their coco peat. “We process the raw coconut onto a perfect buffered and rinsed product that has a low EC, is low in silicon and low in boron. These are the requirements that soft fruit growers are looking for.”

Dutch Plantin produces the loose cocopeat for potting soil companies in and around the Netherlands. These companies subsequently provide Dutch, English, Belgian and German growers with their high quality coco peat. “The growers are thereby buying security, as we supply them with stable cocopeat that has the required physical and chemical properties,” said Roosen. “Our top quality cocopeat is used by our customers since the nineteen nineties.”

"From our own Dutch Plantin factories in India we sell compressed coco products worldwide, often via “our partners”, companies who we work close with and who represents us in a country," said Roosen. "We use natural methods whenever possible when loosening the cocopeat, in order to maintain the material’s original structure: using water. This ensures the structure remains 100 percent intact, in contrast to the production systems which grind the coconut."

All buffered cocopeat supplied by Dutch Plantin is RHP certified.
