Original solution to COVID-19 issues

Online guidance enables remote greenhouse construction

Since December, the COVID-19 virus has been causing serious problems for China's Hubei province, and now it’s already spread worldwide. Greenhouse construction projects have also been impacted. Supervisors of greenhouse companies cannot travel to construction sites to help with installation works, and many projects have been delayed. In those countries that don’t have such a bad situation and construction work can be arranged, online supervision played an important role.

Online help
In the Philippines, two sets of film greenhouse are under construction in a mountain area, provided by Beijing Kingpeng Corporation. The greenhouses, each with a size of 2500 square meters, will be used to grow tomatoes. During this special period, Kingpeng provided online guidance of the greenhouse installation, to solve the problems and answer questions from the construction team. The project estimated to finish in early March.

Pictures of all the parts
Greenhouse construction is not easy, especially when the builders don't have experience with that particular line of work - they may not recognize the connectors or maybe they're not aware which connector is used for which part of the greenhouse. To solve this problem, Kingpeng provided a detailed list with pictures for all parts of the greenhouse, as well as a detailed installation drawing, in advance. That way, the construction team was able to get familiar with each part before the cargo arrived and thus could start foundation work in advance. It is not only making the installation work much easier, but also shortens the time of construction.

It's a nice and original solution, although of course at Kingpeng they hope that the COVID-19 problem will end soon and all horticulture business can be back to normal.
