The second phase has been launched in the greenhouse complex for year-round vegetable growing, located in the Mirny village (Predgorny area, Stavropol). The acreage of the newly launched greenhouse reaches 7.2 ha. The press service of the local Ministry of Agriculture shared that the growers have begun year-round vegetable production.

Special lighting equipment fosters winter growing. Thanks to the modern technologies, the enterprise have already grown 245.4 tons of vegetables since the beginning of the year. Of those, 222.1 tons are tomatoes.

As the Deputy of the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Vyacheslar Dridiger, noted, the contemporary technologies allow Stavropol growers not only to increase greenhouse vegetable productivity but also to increase the crop yield.

As of today the Stavropol region is fully self-sufficient in terms of greenhouse vegetables and delivers its own produce to other regions of Russia.
