Eco-kultura is building a mega greenhouse complex in Kazakhstan

A memorandum has been signed for the construction of a mega greenhouse complex in Kazakhstan, with an overall acreage of 500 ha - investments amount to 1.1 billion USD. The project will be carried out within five years, and as a result of its completion 10,600 working positions will be created. The memorandum has been signed between Eco-kultura and the government of the Turkestan region. The Green Land Alatau company will act as a partner of Eco-kultura within the project.

The construction will be carried out in several phases. The first phase of the greenhouse complex will cover an acreage of 80 ha. The planned production volume should reach 62 thousand tons a year.

Mr. Aleksandr Rudakov, the president and the chairman of the board of directors of Eco-kultura and Mr. Askar Mamin, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan have signed the investment agreement. The potential land plot for the construction has been inspected.

“The memorandum takes into account the principles of mutual cooperation, understanding, respect and trust”, shared Mr. Aleksandr Rudakov. “The document will become an important instrument of increasing business competitiveness in both the Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation, and will create the basis for the tight commercial liaisons and enhance bilateral investments and technology transfer”.

The greenhouse complexes will be equipped with a contemporary computer microclimate management system that will be monitoring the full production cycle and will regulate the heating system, cooling, lighting and the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere.
