Getting ready for Cultivate '18

Taking a peek on Social Media this week and you can't miss it: Cultivate'18 is coming up! Starting this weekend, the North American greenhouse, nursery and landscaping industry will gather in Columbus, Ohio for the annual conference and the trade show afterwards. The exhibition will again be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and with over 600 exhibitors, it's expected to be a good one.

Last year the event showed how manufacturers, installers and builders had a hard time keeping up with the demand. This year is not expected to be different. The market is still in full swing and both vegetable as cannabis growers are investing heavily. With labour still being a danger to the ongoing development of the market, the automation suppliers are expected to be the popular kids in the playground as will the teams be investing in AI and harvest prediction.

Remember last year? Take a look at the 2017 photo report or prepare for this year's visit: find the new exhibitor list here. We'll be around to make a new photo report these days as well!

Here's the latest update with the AmericanHort team, who've been working like crazy to transform the convention centre into the horticultural valhalla. Follow them on Twitter to get a sneak peek.

The Blackmore team will introduce the Ellepot Airtrays
in Ohio. The Airtrays end root girdling and helps perennial growers and AG growers of fruit and nut trees be more effective in their production and planting.

Care about the bugs? Then on Monday we'll have something interesting for you. Marcel Schulte with Holland Gaas and Julie Gilbert-Vijverberg withG&V Greenhouse Solutions will give a seminar on insect netting. What are the advantages? In this session, Marcel Schulte and Julie Gilbert-Vijverberg will be covering proper venting techniques to help air flow. How to profit on crops without using pesticides. With insect netting the chance of an insect outbreak can be greatly reduced. But there is more. This seminar is about all the facts and benefits of insect netting.

Also do not forget the team from A.M.A. Plastics. They're uniting several industry experts and their best products at their booth and will help you, for example, with propagation but also for gutter protection liner or several other growing solutions they can help you further. Don't forget to drop by.

Heliospectra will showcase the company’s new vertical farming lightbar solution and the recently released HelioCORE light control software. The new 50-watt lightbars are fully dimmable, offering commercial indoor growers a simple solution with spectra variants to optimize propagation and plant growth across the production cycle.

You can find the complete exhibitor list here. We'll be around to make a new photo report during these days as well!
