Only one more day and the Greentech exhibition will kick off, offering innovative solutions in the field of horti and floricultural technology. One of them is Gavita. Arjan Pauw, Sales & Marketing Director, tells us more about their LED solutions.
What is your contribution to the advancement of the global horticulture industry?
Gavita has been at the beginning of many technological developments in the horticultural lighting business. A lot of those technological developments are now considered as a standard in the market. Our products are sold worldwide and Gavita is in the number of sold fixtures the no. 1 in the world.
What would you say is the most important topic in horticulture at the moment?
In our line of business, LED is a big topic, but from our perspective still needs a lot of development and good education. Overall I would say the increasing sustainability of the greenhouse sector.
What will you be doing at the GreenTech? Will you present any novelties during the trade show?
For us the GreenTech is a great platform. Besides showing our high quality products we hope to meet a lot of our current customers and of course we are looking forward to meet new people and expand our network.
What project that you’re currently involved in are you most proud of?
We are involved in most of the projects worldwide and for us, each project and each customer is very important and we are very proud on all of them.
How do you see the future of horticulture?
For the future we see a combination of LED and HPS, upscaling and urban farming
