With the GreenTech coming up in June we're getting in touch with several horticultural know-it-alls, entrepreneurs, innovators and general greenhouse geeks. One of them is Bernardo Greeve with KG Systems. With labour saving and the requirement for a higher density, their solutions for the horticultural industry gain ground worldwide.
1. What is your contribution to the advancement of the global
horticulture industry?
We have helped to increase efficiency of our customer’s production, by our competitive benching solutions. Labour saving, increase plants per m2, energy- and water saving per plant are the key factors.
2. What would you say is the most important topic in horticulture at the moment?
The earlier mentioned topics are key in horticulture today. This is part of the reason why our benches are being installed in all corners of the world, it has proven its benefits!

3. What will you be doing at the GreenTech? Will you present any novelties during the trade show?
Our main goal is to show the world our proven products and the automation possibilities for their future plans. As soon as customers get experience on using our benches they will want to expand and automate further!
4. What project that you’re currently involved in are you most proud of?
We are proud of each and every project, large or small! We are working in 20 different countries at the moment, just some examples:
In Australia installing a 2 hectare fully automated young plant system.
We are building a 3 hectare turn-key project in Russia.
Busy on 6 different automated tulip systems in Holland.
And just getting started on a huge turn-key project in the UK.

5. How do you see the future of horticulture?
Bright!! There are many more customers to convince about the benefits of investing in a profitable system.
KG Systems is to exhibit at the GreenTech exhibition June 12-13-14 in Amsterdam. The GreenTech summit will take place June 11th.
