Mucci Farms announces that they have won two awards at the Inaugural Viva Fresh Gateway to Innovation Awards. Veggies to Go continued its impressive award winning streak by receiving the top prize for Most Innovative Vegetable Packaging or POS Solution. In addition, the company also won the award for Most Innovative Technology Application or Software for the Mucci International Logistics App, designed to improve communication throughout the supply chain.

The message has been received loud and clear that snack packaging has been long awaited and a necessary offering for the produce industry.” The award winning run for Veggies to GoTM includes recognition at the CPMA Trade Show and Convention, the PMA’s Fresh Summit Conference and the prestigious Packaging Consortium Awards. The item was also featured in the April edition of Parents Magazine.
Veggies to Go
The Mucci Logistics App is in its early stages, currently being tested with select retail partners. The app allows communication between the Mucci Farms logistics team, the retailer and the truck driver to improve supply chain efficiency and food safety. Using a Purchase Order number and password, partners can track the location of a shipment in real time. “Our goal with the Mucci Logistics App was to increase efficiency by creating a communication channel between our customers, our drivers and our logistics team,” said Bryan Miller, Logistics Manager (right). “With this app, our customers can track the location of their shipment through GPS, will receive notifications if there are delays, and in our case, will also be notified when a truck arrives and departs from a border crossing.”
The awards were announced at the 4th Annual Viva Fresh Expo held at the JW Marriot Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, April 7th.
