HortiContact unites Dutch horticultural industry

With over than 500 exhibitors and an estimated visitor number of 14.000 the HortiContact closed last Thursday. The Trade Fair is the most important get together for the Dutch industry and has been showing international activity over the last years as well.

Fifteenth edition
The trade fair, formerly known as the TuinbouwRelatiedagen Gorinchem, is the most important trade fair for Dutch greenhouse horticulture and succeeds in filling the Evenementenhal venue every year. This year was a jubilee year for the fair, which celebrates the fifteenth edition.

Amongst everything the HortiContact is an important date for the Dutch industry to meet up with old friends and renew contacts. Mitchell & Gill van der Drift (Mountain High Greenhouses) took a stroll and joined Jan Vellekoop (Peter Dekker Installaties).

LED lighting, water treatment and labor
In recent years, there has been a shift in the trade fair participants. There is growth in the number of foreign exhibitors and also newcomers to horticulture find their way to the fair. In particular horticultural lighting and water treatment again were important topics, just like last year.

Striking this year is the focus on labor registration and yield prediction systems. Several suppliers have announced novelties in these fields and of course we will inform you on everything after the exhibition.
