ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROFESSIONAL GREENHOUSE GROWER

Company Description
We are an experienced team of horticulture and business professionals with a combined 50 years of cultivation experience in conventional and certified organic greenhouse production of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and cannabis. We own a 3-acre high tech Venlo-style greenhouse located in the lower mainland that we are actively retro-fitting for Cannabis Production under the Health Canada ACMPR. We are looking for a head grower to join our team.

Cultivation Job Description

  • You are organized, independent and detail oriented.
  • You have 5+ years running a mid-to-large scale, high-tech glass facility; Priva Control essential
  • Previous experience managing a large labor force and individual operational departments such as pack house and accounting
  • Extensive experience in biosecurity, pest control and crop protection
  • You are willing to work with our cannabis production team to learn the cropping techniques and optimize production through your ability to optimize climate control

Operations and Financial Responsibility
  • Accountable to ensure integrity in the spending of funds and responsible to monitor and take corrective action to ensure annual budgets are met
  • Lead the development and practice of safety procedures for the facility
  • Develop and manage an annual operating budget for the division
  • Oversee the facility’s capital works budget and Implement and develop SOPs provided by head office Ensure site security and safe care of finished goods

Requirements for Obtaining Security under ACMPR
  • Must be 21 years of age or older proven with valid photo identification issued by the federal government of Canada or a province
  • Completion of Security Clearance Fingerprint Third Party Consent to Release Personal Information Form to a Canadian police force or private accredited fingerprinting agency accredited by the RCMP.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain security clearance under the ACMPR, including:
  1. Citizenship status and proof
  2. Any past convictions in Canada
  3. Addresses of any places you have resided within the past five years
  4. Names and addresses of places where you have worked or attended school within the last five years, including periods of unemployment and the address of your residence during periods of unemployment.
  5. Marital status – name and personal information, including citizenship status, of spouse/common-law partner. This includes past partners within the last five years
  6. Periods of travel outside of Canada that lasted 90 days or more in the last five years
