Blok's Draadvorm, in cooperation with suppliers and installers in the horticultural sector, develops innovative technological solutions for the horticultural industry. The development of wire products for existing or new applications in horticulture requires a good knowledge of wire. With good partners and low development costs, the goal is to benefit the end-user in terms of efficiency and optimal use.
Over the past few weeks, a lot of effort has been invested in the development of various wire brackets for suspended LED lighting, including a patented adjustable bracket for a lighting fixture, allowing the height of LED lighting in a greenhouse to be easily adjusted.
Prior to the development of this system, aspects such as the installation and use of the product had to be thoroughly studied. "In the development and production process, the customer needs to play a very important role and we worked to try fulfilling their wishes. Based on a drawing, we programmed the product's concept into our bending machines for the production of samples to assess whether the product operates efficiently," explains Lindsey Blok.
It has resulted in a unique suspended system, which consists of various wire products. The luminaire can be easily set up by squeezing the adjustment bracket and moving it to the desired height. After releasing the adjusting bracket, it no longer moves. Additionally, the adjusting bracket can be made stronger, depending on the wire thickness. Such a flexible and robust product makes the installation and use of LED lighting easier.
Now that the system appears to be functioning well, it will soon, where necessary, be optimised for the production process. "We are confident that the product meets all requirements and are pleased that we have been able to turn it into a successful concept which can be of great value for the horticultural industry," concludes Blok.
