Novavert increases processing abilities with super-wide film welding

While many suppliers produce their films in widths of 4m or even less, growers may require a lot larger width for fixed or moving films. Putting together two sheets of material by means of sewing is easy but for roll-up-walls and other applications a simple double-layer seam is no option: The material joint in that way would stand out way too much and cause problems with rewinding or just due to a lower stability.

NOVAVERT in Greven, Germany, is now in the position to offer a special service: Overlap seams for material widths of up to 8m wide, welded with specific temperature, pressure and speed to obtain the best result. General manager Niclas Heescher: “With the latest machinery we can even go further than 8m without a fold, whether it is PE, PP, PVC or many other materials. We can process mother rolls with huge weights or deliver short pieces cut to the right length, whether these are products from our films or materials from other sources.”
