Construction at new Amsterdam Perishable Center started

IPHandlers, located a stone’s throw away from Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands, have started the construction of the new Amsterdam Perishable Center. A 6,000 m2 conditioned company hall is being realised on the Noordpolderweg in Aalsmeer, directly opposite their current location.

"“The expansion was necessary because the current 10,000 m2 company hall was too small to facilitate the increasing flow of perishable air cargo shipments. Employees are looking forward to serving our customers more efficiently. This new building offers plenty of space for that. Four vacuum coolers and cells with five different temperatures ensure an optimum storage temperature for the shipments,” says René Baan of IPHandlers. “IPHandlers can offer future customer this service.”

IPHandlers hopes to take the new building into use mid-January 2019. IPHandlers is a market leader at Schiphol Airport, specialised in handling perishable air cargo for import and export. They’re distinctive in the conditioned handling of perishables.
