The HoriFlor Zimbabwe is on. The Harare International Convention Centre (HICC) opened its doors this morning where over 50 Zimbabwean and international companies are showcasing their products and services. The new international trade fair for the fresh flowers, vegetables and fruit industry will last till October 11, but below already a peek of the first day.
And it seems to be a good start of the show, with crowded aisles filled with visitors who see the potential of this country. And the country seems to be ready as well. After having once been Africa’s second largest exporter, the Zimbabwean horticulture industry is eager to climb back up the ladder and again become one of Africa’s top exporters.
Earlier this month, Dick van Raamsdonk of HPP Exhibitions, who organized this show, told us in an interview (Click here to read the article) that they can achieve this within 5 to 10 years.

On Monday October 15, we will publish a recap of the show.
