Russia: Nobody interested in Altai greenhouse complex

The auction on selling the biggest greenhouse complex of Siberia, Industrialny in Barnaul, will not take place, reported the Foundation for the Altai area property.

The auction was to have been held on October 5. Not a single application for the auction has been received and the auction has been cancelled.

The complex is owned by the region. The representatives of the regional administration have explained that the complex is being sold so that it could be developed further.

Industrialny is a major vegetable producer not only for the Altai region but also for the whole Central Federal District, growing over 16% of Siberian greenhouse produce.

On January 1 2018, the enterprise's debts amounted to 11.1 million euros, 9.8 million being bank loans.
