The sixteenth edition of the greenhouse horticulture trade fair HortiContact expands with a completely new component: HortiPackaging. This initiative will have its own place on the exhibition floor, where visitors can find everything about packaging, labeling and coding. HortiPackaging focuses on growers, packing stations and trading houses.
“Packaging, labeling and coding are hot-items in the horticulture sector”, explains Mariëlle Schonewille on behalf of the HortiContact exhibition organization. “The visitor will find everything about packaging, labeling and coding; from products and machines till interesting lectures in the knowledge theatre. Important themes such as sustainability, automisation and the wishes and requirements of the market will be discussed.”
Fair organizer Easyfairs also organizes the largest Dutch packaging exhibition Empack. “We optimally benefit from this. We have all the knowledge about packaging and we make grateful use of it. Our Empack colleagues are closely involved in this initiative, so that we can perfectly launch HortiPackaging on the basis of all wishes and needs of the horticultural sector. Where Empack is focused on the broad packaging world, HortiPackaging focuses purely on the horticultural sector”, says Schonewille.
With an average of over 500 exhibitors and more than 14,500 visitors, HortiContact is one of the largest sector exhibitions for greenhouse horticulture in the Netherlands. Visitors of HortiContact are mainly ornamental, vegetable and fruit growers (in greenhouses). The trade fair can be visited on 19, 20 and 21 February 2019 from 13:00 to 21:00 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem.
