PanAmerican Seed welcomes Luther McLaughlin as General Manager of vegetable breeding

PanAmerican Seed welcomes Luther McLaughlin in the capacity of General Manager of its vegetable breeding initiative. Luther will have the overall responsibility for breeding, product development, sales and marketing of the company’s HandPicked Vegetables, a collection of products for growers that supply fresh market farms and hobby farm gardeners.

McLaughlin brings more than 30 years of relevant experience in the vegetable industry, having spent that time at Abbott and Cobb, Inc. in its Pennsylvania location. He started as a field tech, and also worked in inventory management and customer service, before his most recent position as Vice President Sales and Product Development. There he gained valuable experience in sales and marketing, working with the various channels of distribution in the vegetable seed industry.

“I am excited to join the PanAmerican Seed team, and to help develop the vegetable division to become the first choice for service, knowledge and quality vegetable seeds,” says McLaughlin.

“PanAmerican Seed looks forward to putting Luther’s knowledge and experience to work to help the HandPicked Vegetables program grow,” says Anne Leventry, President of PanAmerican Seed.
