ISF awards Rijk Zwaan's Anton van Doornmalen as honorary life member

On Monday 26 May, Rijk Zwaan's Anton van Doornmalen was appointed as honorary life member of the ISF ( International Seed Federation ), during the opening ceremony of the ISF Congress in Beijing. The former director of Rijk Zwaan, as a shareholder and consultant still with the company, received the award for his dedication to the industry organization since 1995 .



For many years, Anton van Doornmalen was a member of the General Board of the ISF and until last year he was for nine years president of the vegetable section . In that role, he sat with a passion for issues such as intellectual property, plant health and biodiversity. In his acceptance speech, he also mentioned the importance of these issues in close cooperation with each other and to continue to approach, " based on a strong and healthy seed industry .

Anton said that he have enjoyed his work. He feels honoured with the award and thanks the ISF , the Dutch association Plantum , all business partners in the seed world where he has collaborated with over the years and especially all his colleagues at Rijk Zwaan.
