Italy: BASF against powdery mildew

Many took part in the "Vivando Day" events organised by BASF Italia SpA - Div. Agro.

The meetings, dedicated to technicians, growers and dealers, all focused on Vivando, an efficient product against powdery mildew in cucurbits and solanaceae.

"As it is absorbed by the vegetable tissue, it is partially transferred to the plant, improving the protection even of those parts which are not being treated," explains Pasquale di Muccio, technical and sales manager for BASF in Sicily.

Over 300 guests attended the final event, where they could witness the excellent results obtained on courgette plants.

Vivando works well and does not interfere with the physiology of the plant. It must be used pre-emptively, as soon the first signs of an infection appear.

Vivando is now used on many crops in Sicily such as aubergines, tomatoes, courgettes, melons, watermelons, peppers and grapevines.
