Organized by Intagri between 10 and 12 July:

Mexico: 3rd Applied Plant Nutrition and Physiology congress

The Mexican company Intagri, based in Celaya, in the state of Guanajuato, may be small, but the activities it carries out have a really huge impact. The firm is devoted to the organisation of congresses and training events all over Mexico, both for general agricultural audiences as well as to specialists in certain crops, like tomatoes or corn. The biggest congress this year will be the one on applied plant nutrition, which will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico, between 10 and 12 July.

The conferences at the upcoming “3rd Applied Plant Nutrition and Physiology congress”, presented by professionals and specialists from Spain, Brazil, Turkey, United Kingdom and, of course, Mexico, will address topics of interest to growers wishing to keep up to date with the latest advances in areas such as the application of humic acids or biostimulants, or about the use of elements like zinc, magnesium or potassium. The seminar will consequently be suitable for both greenhouse and open ground growers.

As part of the event, an area will be reserved for some of the largest companies in the field of plant nutrition solutions, including Tradecorp, Mezfer, Ultraquimia, Agroestimulantes mexicanos, Haifa, Agroenzymas and Greenhow, among many others, where both growers and companies will have the chance to make useful connections for either business or networking purposes.

Furthermore, Intagri is already planning its future seminars, including a 120 hour long training programme to be organised next year in partnership with Almeria, Spain, and which will deal with the latest advances in biological integrated control, hydroponic cultivation and substrates, as a response to the increasing number of growers interested in making the shift. The firm is also offering training on nematode and bacteria control through biofumigation.

Another important initiative planned for next year will be the organisation of training events in Peru and Colombia, as according to Mateo Martínez, of Intagri, “many professionals from those countries are coming to Mexico to attend our seminars.”
