Kenya: Communication strategy baseline survey findings and report on Sexual harassment

Kenya Flower Council (KFC) in collaboration with Workers Right Watch (WRW) held a consultative workshop on Tuesday April 8, 2014 to discuss the finding of the baseline survey on the status of communication at the farm level and workers right watch sexual harassment report.

In her opening remarks, Jane Ngige the Chief Executive Officer, KFC said the two institutions have matured with time unlike in the past where there was much confrontation; they now have a common agenda encouraging a good working environment for the workers in the farm. Speaking to Human Resource Managers and Farm Managers most of whom were the participants, she said a motivated workforce goes a long way in ensuring increase in productivity at the farm and the Nation at large. KFC is committed to do capacity building of its members and therefore is devoted to provide avenues for these.
