Australia: New Greenhouse Technician's course for skill development

Chisholm Institute of TAFE announce the delivery of the Greenhouse Technician’s course. The objective of the course is to assist in the skill development of both current and prospective industry practitioners, and to deliver a range of technically based concepts and practices that are currently utilised in the modern greenhouse industry.

In addition to the course, individual participants can elect to undertake a further assessment process to obtain the competency “Manage a controlled growing environment” – from the Diploma of Horticulture, that can be used towards a National qualification.

The course will be delivered in Chisholm Institute’s National Precision Growing Centre – the only practical, purpose built training glasshouse in the Southern Hemisphere, located at 2, New Holland Drive, Cranbourne, Victoria. The course makes extensive use of the linkage between the training area and the live cropping area on the campus.
