Canada: Bayer CropScience fungicide receives MRL approval for strawberries

Bayer CropScience has announced that Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for Flint fungicide have been established in Canada, effective immediately. The recent decision by Health Canada establishes MRLs for trifloxystrobin, the active ingredient in Flint.

"We are excited that Canada has established the MRL for strawberries treated with Flint, as it provides strawberry growers and pest control advisers seeking to export their crop to Canada with a new complete disease control solution," said Joel Lipsitch, fungicide product manager for Bayer CropScience.

With this new MRL in place, Canada joins the list of major markets with established import tolerances for Flint, among these the European Union, Codex and Japan. A full list of MRLs can be found at www.mrldatabase.com.
