US (CA): Herb and lettuce hydro growers expand because of soaring demand

Pierre and Paulina Sleiman from GoGreen came to visit American Hydroponics a few years ago to see the NFT systems in action. Their basil was extraordinary at that time and they could easily visualize how this system would work for them. Three years later, GoGreen from San Diego is up to 2.5 acres and producing 250,000 plants a month. With a perfect climate, they grow such high quality lettuce and herbs, they are having to double in size just to keep up with soaring demand. That's a good problem.

GroGreen is a prime example of the wisdom of localizing food production. They used water-wise American Hydroponics NFT systems for ease of use, durability, and phenomenal productivity. Pierre and Paulina are an inspiration to all aspiring urban farmers; to decentralize food production and bring it back into the hands of local communities.
