Bell pepper grower Willem-Arie Beekenkamp on the green bell pepper variety:

"The fruits were still green after two weeks into the storage test"

Willem-Arie Beekenkamp is growing 7,000 m2 of the green bell pepper variety E20B.02363 in his greenhouse in 's-Gravenzande. Last year he had this variety in the 2nd screening, and it showed a high production and fruit weight. Willem-Arie: "And the quality of the fruit is perfectly good."

Cultivation progress E20B.0263
The green bell pepper E20B.0263 has been sown at Beekenkamp on November 1 and planted on December 5. The variety is grown on a 3-stem system. The fruit weight is between 140 and 200 grams. The variety is 10 to 15 grams heavier than the standard variety on average. Willem-Arie: "The cultivation is going well. For the first planting I heated too much, and it went a little too fast. I should have let the gas go sooner, established difference between night and day more rapidly. Besides this there were no unpleasant surprises. E20B.0263 grows regularly, has a sturdy crop, and even stems."

Labor E20B.0263
Also with regard to labor is E20B.0263 a fine variety, according to Willem-Arie. "There is little difference in the buds with other varieties. Harvesting is a little more difficult, because the variety is a bit more sturdy and remains wrinkly longer. That is mostly a matter of getting used to it." Compared to other green varieties, the E20B.0263 keeps a nice dark green color in the summer.

Excellent storage life E20B.0263
What was surprising is that the E20B.0263 scored exceptionally well in the storage test of Harvest House. Enza Seeds actively cultivates green block bell peppers. One of the properties of the varieties that stem from this, is their slow coloring. There were no motley fruits. Of course I didn't know that last year, when I picked this variety, but it is a large benefit."
