Jiffy to introduce new pot for retail market at IPM Essen
New 'consumer friendly' biodegradable compostable pot
Jiffy, manufacturer of the Jiffy pot since the mid 50's, adds a brand new family member to its lineup of biodegradable containers with ‘retail use’ in mind. Many of today’s compostable pots can only be composted through an industrial composting facility and plants grown in these containers cannot be planted 'pot and all'.
The softness of ‘regular type’ Jiffypots makes these poorly withstand rough handling at the retail level. The new Jiffy container is especially designed to solve these issues, the sturdy pot performs well in any greenhouse growing environment, including automated systems and keeps its rigidity to withstand the rigors of retail, once shipped out of the greenhouse.
The end consumer need not worry about dirty hands when handling the pot, as the new Jiffy Pot handles like a plastic pot with the difference of keeping the '100% home compostable' Jiffy promise, enabling the end user to plant pot and all in the garden. We call this 'Degradable Durability'.
The new pot is available in many sizes and shapes, including strips and 'poly-packs'. For your free trial, see us at the IPM Essen, stand 2A23, or contact sales@jiffygroup.com
