TomTech now has 800 systems installed in the UK
Managing director Alan Thompson says the company has about 800 systems installed in the UK, many in nurseries in south Lincolnshire. In article with Spaldingtoday.co.uk he said: “What we aim to do is to make equipment that is very sophisticated yet at the same time very easy to use.”

The flagship product, the Tom Tech T200, is a new concept in horticultural control, the touch screen computer capable of doing different things at different times of day.
Alan explained: “The whole idea is what you want to be able to do is put as little heat as possible into the greenhouse, but produce the best quality crop, so it’s about varying the target temperature according to what the weather is doing, and we do a similar thing with ventilation, humidity and sometimes Co2 concentration.
“It’s very configurable, so we change it from client to client.”
Alan has run the business for about 25 years, combining his computer design background with an interest in horticulture. The company is very specialised, with two people in the workshop and two out installing systems.
