Indian growers get acquainted with hydroponics
Australian based company Genesis Horticultural Solutions has been engaged in delivering a 5 day training course to Indian growers in basic hydroponic growing and controlled environment management. Thirty participants from across India attended the event at Dharwad, and came from a variety of climatically different areas.
“We provided a generic training course to try and cater for the mixture of students and their geographical locations and investigated the most suitable types of growing structures for individual areas”, said Genesis Director Tony Bundock.
Part of the course included the opportunity for the students to participate in interactive workshops and gain knowledge from other course participants on their experiences in growing.
“It was great to be able to offer the participants some strong practical advice as they transition towards a more technical approach to their growing, and also very rewarding be representing the sharp end of the horticultural technology industry overseas,” said Tony.
