Europe: Call for entries Food Heroes Award

The Food Heroes Awards competition is an initiative of the INTERREG North West Europe project ‘Food Heroes’. The award program aims to put the societal challenge of food waste in the centre point of attention of many people and organizations.

A direct objective is to increase the involvement of relevant stakeholders from different sectors in the Food Heroes project that will run till the end of 2019. Award candidates will show successful innovative and creative solutions to revalorize or reduce food waste in different agrifood sectors in North West Europe.

The call for entries for the Food Heroes Award is issued in three food sectors: Fruit & Vegetables, Fish & Seafood and Male Animals: male goats & one day male chicks. Lead partner organisation is ZLTO, in cooperation with AgriMeetsDesign.

Deadline is 15 November 2018. The Food Heroes Award Ceremony will take place during the CFIA (international food processing trade fair) in Rennes, France on 14 March 2019. Per sector three nominees will be awarded.
