Solution against algae growth
Silo and basin covering Delafloat offers a solution against algae growth in the basin by closing off the water surface. It uses a specially developed floating canvas, which is vacuum sucked to the water surface because of the eight-shaped stud structure. Delafloat is a product of parent company DL Plastics B.V.
Closed system
DL Plastics has renewed Delafloat recently. Before the floating system was kept in its place with bands and elastic cords. Bas: "Now it is a completely closed system that can weather all storms and wind."
"The reflecting white coat of the cover reflects sunlight and reduces the heating of the water. In this way vaporization counters algae growth."
