Hortilux nominated for Computable Awards

HortiSense, the digital platform from grow lighting supplier, Hortilux Schréder, is in the race for the Computable Awards 2018. HortiSense is nominated in the ‘Digital Transformation of the year’ category, along with nine other companies. The winner will be selected by a professional jury and the public.

The Computable Awards are the most important ICT prizes in the Netherlands. The readers of Computable award companies, projects and individuals that they find distinctive within different categories. HortiSense is nominated in the ‘Digital Transformation of the year’ category. This category is for ICT business solutions, which are profitable in, for example, digitalizing of processes or entering new markets.



“In total we received 65 submissions in this category”, says Sander Hulsman, chief editor of Computable. “Thirteen ‘Computable-experts’ studied the submissions. They looked at the added value for the internal and external customer, originality, and innovation power of the transformation. Thereafter they gave all the submissions a rating between 1 and 10. The ten transformations with the highest ratings are automatically nominated. HortiSense is one of them and scored a 7.5!”. Other nominees in the category include ProRail, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, council of Eindhoven, and the province of North Brabant.

An official jury will look at the nominees, however the public has also a vote. The ranking of the jury and the amount of votes from the public will determine the winner, each counts for 50%. The winners will be announced during an awards dinner in the Beatrix Theatre in Utrecht at the 30th of October 2018.
