US company promotes new positioning for its Mexican greenhouse tomatoes

With Mexican greenhouse tomatoes experiencing their traditional slow season, Globalmex International Inc. is working ahead with an eye on its fall supply of Magic Sun branded tomatoes.

“While we do have year-round supply of greenhouse organic tomatoes on the vine (TOVs) and conventional TOVs, we’re setting the stage for this fall when we have our full line of products available,” says Anthony Otto with the Richmond, Va.-based company. This line includes adding on grape tomatoes and organic beefsteak tomatoes. “We’re definitely making an investment into the organics as well as the snacking category with grape tomatoes and cocktail tomatoes as well,” Otto adds.

New focus
What’s also keeping the Magic Sun team busy is its focus on the launch of its new image which emphasizes its ’Better Farming, Better Food, Better Future’ motto. Promoting that positioning and its new website, magicsunfarms.com will be a major focus when it exhibits for the first time at this year’s United Fresh 2018 in Chicago June 25-27th. “We’re excited to show off our new branding and share all the hard work our team has been doing to live up to that motto,” says Otto.

The company chose the show partly because of who attends this annual event. “It’s a well attended show and it’s a great opportunity to broadcast our message to a wider array of retailers, distributors and foodservice operators and meet with that many buyers, VPs and other decision-makers,” he says.

At the Magic Sun booth, visitors will find information about the new positioning as well as see the company’s new logo and new packaging on items for the 2018-2019 season. Come and stop by booth #1536.
