AVF pavilion round table discussions at GreenTech

GreenTech Amsterdam and the Association for Vertical Farming are partnering in organizing a dedicated Vertical Farming pavilion where all innovation, knowledge and technology in Vertical Farming comes together. The Vertical Farming pavilion will feature the AVF café with a programme of ’round table talks’ led by international experts on the topics of ‘AI in Vertical Farming‘, ‘Standardization‘ and ‘Medicinal Plant Growing‘.

The panel of experts will feature Dr. Sonny Ramaswamy. He served as director of National Institute of Food and Agriculture in President Obama’s administration and before that he was dean of Oregon State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and director of the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station. He had published nearly 150 journal articles, book chapters, and a book before leading NIFA. He has received a number of awards and honors as a scientist and department head, including being named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science; Fellow of the Entomological Society of America; and Distinguished Graduate Alumnus of Cook College, Rutgers University.
