In the northern hemisphere, the main soil treatments are carried out during the summer season. Not only do these treatments guarantee the survival of the harvest, but they also cause the production to be more abundant and uniform.
There are two fundamental methods for treating soils: solarization and chemical disinfection. In the first one, the intense solar radiation in summer is made use of and combined with an irrigation system. For this treatment, the field is furthermore covered with a special plastic film guaranteeing a high surface temperature as well as sterilization when treated between 30 to 45 days.
The second option, that is using chemical disinfectants, allows us to achieve almost total control of pathogens and weeds. For greater efficiency it is always recommended to use TIF (Totally impermeable film) fumigation films. With these films we not only achieve the best efficiency, but we also ensure that treatments are shorter and safer, bringing forward planting dates if necessary.
- Reduce the amount of fumigant (a saving of between 10-60% of fumigant)
- It increases the biocidal effectiveness
- Reduced emissions and greater safety for applicators
- It reduces environmental pollution
- Anti UV treatment for maximum durability
- Excellent mechanical properties
- Protect greenhouse covers
- Reduces the time of disinfection (3 weeks)
