Turkey: Hatay greenhouses create employment for Syrian immigrants

A greenhouse project has been set up in Altinozu town of Hatay, a city located on the southern border of Turkey, with the contributions of Welt Hunger Hilfe (WHH) to provide employment for immigrant families from Syria who had to flee their country due to civil war. Creating employment opportunities for these immigrants has been a difficult task for Turkish authorities and such projects are undertaken to solve this particular problem.

As a part of the project, vegetables such as tomato, pepper, eggplant and cucumber will be grown to support these families. The goal of the project is to provide employment for 113 families.
