“HortEx Vietnam 2019 aiming for significant growth”

HortEx Vietnam, the first International Exhibition and Conference for Horticultural and Floricultural Production and Processing Technology in Vietnam, was successfully launched from 14-16 March 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City.

In total more than 110 companies from 20 countries worldwide participated and 4,530 visitors visited the event. Apart from the Vietnamese visitors the exhibition also welcomed quite a number of visitors from other Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, but also up to Korea, Australia, China, USA and India.



The dates for 2019 were already announced during the exhibition and for next year the exhibition will take place from 13-15 March. Once again the exhibition will take place in the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Based on the positive feedback from participants, 92% of the 2018 exhibitors said that the exhibition has met their expectations, plus the growing interest in the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian market the organisers expect a significant growth of the second edition.

Many of the 2018 participants have already booked their location for the next edition. The organisers have doubled the space for HortEx Vietnam 2019 in order to meet the growing demand.

Vietnam is the fastest growing economy of the Southeast Asian countries and horticulture and floriculture are one of the most promising sectors of this economy. HortEx Vietnam aims to serve all segments of the Vietnamese horticulture and floriculture sector.

HortEx Vietnam contributes to the development of the industry in Vietnam and creates a bridge between International and local suppliers of horticultural and floricultural products on one side and the Vietnamese growers and other industry professionals on the other side.

The large International and local participation at HortEx Vietnam 2018 underlines the potential and development of the Vietnamese horticulture and floriculture industry.

The exhibition is being supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam, Lam Dong Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Center (TIPC), Vietnam Fruit & Vegetable Association (VinaFruit) and the Dalat Flower Association.
