Canadian, Israeli companies work together on MJ LED lighting

The Canada-Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation (CIIRDF) announced eight new bilateral R&D projects valued at almost $12 million. MedReleaf and Israel’s FloraFotonica project to create new LED lighting systems with a special focus on cannabis growing facilities, was among those selected.

Leveraging more than $4.7 million from CIIRDF, these bilateral R&D teams will combine the strengths and expertise of 20 Canadian and Israeli technology and research companies to develop new technologies with application in the agriculture, energy, aerospace, and information and communications technologies (ICT) sectors.
