Canada: Greenhouse vegetables producers' operating expenses 2013-2017

The latest information on growing costs for greenhouse vegetables in Canada has recently been published. The trends over the last four years show several interesting facts. The total operating expenses have increased 24%. The largest factor in this increase was labor costs; the gross yearly payroll expenses increased 40%. Electricity and fuel costs increased by 22%, and other expenses such as seedlings, insurance, taxes, etc. increased by 24%.
